Background&Purpose:.Pluripotent stem cells CD34+ could play a role in key tissue repair mechanisms, like angiogenesis.The purpose of this study is survey on the effect of moderate intensities an acute bout aerobic activity on the Mobilization of stem cells CD34+ in middle-aged men.
Methodology: 24 middle aged men (age 51.21±3.04 yrs, weight 82.15 ± 8.12 kgand BMI 27.65±2.60kg/m2) in the study were randomly divided into 3 groups (control N: 8, the A experimental group N: 8, the B experimental groupN:8) Agroup (60% of VO2max)and B group (70% of VO2max)ran for 30 minutes withon the treadmill. blood samples were taken from all subjects for measurement of stem cells CD34+ befor and 10 minutes after the test protocol. The paired- samples T Testwere used for comparisons within a group. To compare variation between the groups were used One-Way analysis of variance test (ANOVA).
Results:Both the intensity of aerobic activity significantly increased the number of CD34+ cell, in group A (60% of maximal oxygen consumption) by 14 percent (P =0.003), while this effect with 70 maximal oxygen consumption of 22% was higher (P =0.002), but no significant difference was observed between the two groups and the control group no significant change in the pre-test and post-test (P= 0.082)
Conclusion: aerobic activity training with intensity 60% and 70 % of Vo2maxcan significantly increased the number of circulating CD34+ cell in the peripheral blood and because of the potential role of these cells in neo-angiogenesis and vasculogenesis possibly can to help repair and regeneration vessels.
