The purpose of this study was to study the prevalence and causes of sports injuries in basketball players in Super Leagues. In this study there were 58 players playing in Super League teams. The players who had a 2-year experience in Super League were selected randomly. The researcher collected the data from players via interview. The total number of injuries in 58 players was found to stand at 410, the most prevalent injuries centered on joint ligament tissues. The most prevalent injuries were sprain 25%, contusion 15%, fraction 12% and dislocation 10%. The most common injured areas were the ankle and the knee respectively. The majority of injuries occurred while training, returning of rebound. The most important causes were hitting opponents, physical deconditioning and the surface of gym floor. Collision between players, jumping to receive ball under the basket and imbalance increase injuries to extreme limb than other limbs. Taking the ball with fingers, not using of supporting equipment were the more important causes of injuries.
