[English]

Background & Purpose: Exercise duration and intensity associated with increases in serum Biochemical Markers of Cardiac Cells levels. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of continuous and intermittent intense running activity on the level of serum CK-MB and cTnI of overweight men.
Methodology: 40 subjects of 30-40 years old with a BMI 27-29 were randomly divided into three experimental groups (continuous, intermittent alternating 30 and 60 seconds) and control group. Exercises were done for eight weeks, each three sessions. Blood samples of the subjects takes for five times (before, four and 24 hours after the first session and the last session). Data were analyzed with repeated measures analysis variance at a significance level (P≤0. 05).
Results: The results showed a significant increase in serum CK-MB in Posttest of training groups with no increase in control group (P≤0. 05). Serum cTnI levels of four-hour posttest of continuous, intermittent exercise 60 seconds group showed a significant increase compared to the pretest and 24-hour posttest (P≤0. 05) but not significant in the interval of 30 seconds (P>0. 05). Serum cTnI levels of posttest of four-hour of continuous groups on the last week was a significant reduction than the four-hour of first week (P≤0. 05). Serum cTnI levels of all training groups was no significant difference, between 24-hour test of last week and first week.
Conclusion: It seems that none of these activities can be sustained heart damage. Temporary increase in the index as a result of impaired cardiac cell membrane is unstable. Activities, especially continuous activities will be situation to reduce this.
