Women with (PCOS) are at increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Exercise is a strategy to reduce patient mortality. we aimed to evaluate the effect of 12 weeks of aerobic training on serum levels of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 selectins in obese women withPCOS. Thirty women with PCOS with a BMI of more than 29.9 and an age range of 27.66 ± 3.90 years were randomly assigned to two groups of aerobic exercise (n=15) and control (n=15). A 12-week training period of a moderate-intensity supervised aerobic exercise program with a duration of 150 minutes per week, including 30 minutes of brisk walking or continuous slow running on 5 days of the week with an intensity of 70 to 85% of the maximum heart rate ( HRmax) was done, while the participants in the control group were doing usual activities. research variables, blood was drawn after 12 to 14 hours of fasting and in two stages before and 48 hours after the last training session. Also, ELISA method was used to determine the level of (ICAM-1) and (VCAM-1) factors. Finally, the data were analyzed using SPSS version 21 software and using the covariance test (P<0.05).The findings showed that 12 weeks of aerobic training has a significant effect on the reduction of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 in obese women with PCOS (P<0.05).Conclusion: The results of the present study suggest that a course of aerobic leads to reduction of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 levels and possibly improvement of vascular endothelial function in obese women with PCOS.
