The Journal of Applied Exercise Physiology (JAEP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal supported by the University of Mazandaran (Babolsar, Iran). The journal provides a platform for the publication of high-quality scholarly work in exercise physiology, sport and exercise science, physical activity, health promotion, clinical exercise physiology, and human performance.

The journal operates a double-blind peer review system, whereby each submission is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and textual similarity prior to peer review. The journal adheres to the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All articles are published under an open-access model and are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), ensuring the widest possible dissemination and non-commercial reuse of scientific knowledge.
